Bronze Cobalt #2
Cobalt blue is the main color used in Portuguese tiles to portrait past colonial achievements as national glories. These tiles occupy public spaces in Lisbon, leading people to remember a specific, singular version of Portuguese colonial past. This performance reanacts the power systems behind traditional objects, how they carry a national colonial ethos and the ways they influence our collective remembrance.
The performance "Bronze Cobalt" was presented at the 8th KONTEKSTY Festival, Sokolovsko, Poland, curated by Andreas Pagnes
